This is an urgent role for a Chief design Engineer to be based on an ongoing HPP project in Myanmar for a period of 2 years to start immediately, you will be based at the project office in the Myanmar capital of Nai Pyi Taw.
The Senior Civil Design Engineer should be a graduate civil engineer with a minimum relevant experience of fifteen years in civil design and quality control in the context of dam and hydropower structures. They will lead the large construction design team on a day-to-day basis, coordinating the individual assignments whilst, working on the civil engineering design, with an emphasis on the overall project layout (hydropower planning) and design of the powerhouse. They will manage important design interfaces – in particular, those between the civil design and the equipment design (which are essential to design of the powerhouse), and between the civil design and construction on site in order to ensure that conditions encountered on site are accurately reflected in the design.
The proposed conditions for the position are as follows:
- Monthly remuneration: 14,000 Euro’s NET (local Tax’s)
- Per diem: USD 40
- Free appropriate accommodation and local transport
- 3 free economy flights from the Freelancer’s country of residence to Myanmar per year
- Freelancer Contract, i.e. will only pay for the actual months of work. Leave periods will be unpaid. Taxes, insurances, social contributions, pension, etc. in the country of residence are the business of the freelancer.
This is an incredibly urgent position as the client would like the preferred candidate mobilised and on site asap.
