Project Director: Water Treatment - France

A reputable, well-established Engineering & Infrastructure consultancy are widening their team and looking to hire an experienced professional for their Water, Waste & Climate division. You have the choice to be based at one of their regional offices located in a desirable locations in France.

The position is in the field of urban hydraulic projects and more specifically water treatment.

They are looking for a person who has the ability to work autonomously and with great

interpersonal skills, also able to manage a project team, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and lead large-scale international projects in technical, contractual aspects and relationships with the client.


The role:

  • As the Project Director, you will lead studies (Feasibility study - Detailed preliminary project - Business consultation files)
  • Assist in the evaluation of business offers and the award of works contracts
  • Direct supervision of execution studies and work control
  • Assist in Commissioning projects
  • lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians in France and sometimes, abroad.
  • Monitoring customer relations, managing technical aspects, contractors and project finance.
  • You will take charge of commercial development, mainly internationally (client and partner approach, preparation of offers) in coordination with the business management.


What you will bring:

  • Degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineer (or equivalent)
  • 15 to 20 years in the field of engineering, including urban hydraulics & water treatment
  • A mastery of FIDIC is necessary
  • Strong experience managing international projects, preferably in Africa and the Middle East. Including
  • Fluency in the French & English language (spoken & written)

Gross salary: up to €80,000 Euro’s per annum negotiable depending on experience & qualifications.
