A position with a large development company to assist in managing the project during construction for a large pumped storage hydroelectric project in South East Asia. It is due to start construction very soon, the project involves a lot of underground works including vertical shafts and water transfer tunnels, and should be a 5 year commitment.
You will be based at site and report to the Project Director. You will be responsible for monitoring all underground construction of the project and the EPC contractor.
What you will bring:
- BSc or equivalent as Geotechnical Engineer; Civil Engineer; Geotechnical mining
- Extensive underground construction management
- Ideally experienced in leading large hydropower projects
- Experience with Drill & Blast; shaft sinking (ideally deep & vertical)
- Ideally having worked for the owner or as Owners Engineer
- Ideally experience working in South East Asia
- 15+ years of experience including water tunnel excavation & lining
