Join a leading engineering consultancy to work within their central teams in Europe. You will have a choice of European cities where you can be based and work from, and some international travel is expected to their project locations.

You will have a key full-time, permanent position within their Dam Department, as an Embankment Dam Specialist to lead the development of a specialised team dedicated to all areas of embankment engineering for water and hydropower projects.

They are looking for an ambitious and technical person who will fit into their existing, well synched team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Design activities for all types of embankments, from early-stage design phases to projects under construction.
  • Lead dam safety assessments.
  • Develop and lead a team of engineers working on embankment design and safety assessment, assuming a leadership role in guiding and mentoring emerging dam engineers through on-the-job training.
  • Coordinate senior and international experts involved in specific tasks.
  • Participate in the preparation of tender documents for embankments.
  • Participate in the preparation of offers for engineering services (business acquisition).
  • Short missions abroad to support site activities, attend site meetings, etc.

What you will have:

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience on international projects.
  • Experience in concept to design and construction follow-up of embankment dams.
  • Good knowledge of International Standards for Dam Design.
  • Experience as EPC Designer is preferred.
  • It is preferred that you are a member of ICOLD.
  • Fluency in English. French, Italian, or German are a plus.
  • Ability and motivation to travel abroad for short assignments.
  • Existing right to work in the EU.
