Electromechanical Project Manager - Hydropower - Paris - France

A hydropower developer has an opening in their main office for an Electromechanical Project Manager to fit within their dynamic and passionate team.

They focus on small scale hydropower development projects in Africa and have a strong vision in support of the green energy movement and supporting local communities.

You will be based in Paris (or work remotely) but required to travel to their African projects several times through the year.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Pre-sizing of E&M equipment during the feasibility study and Detailed Preliminary Project phase.
  • Participation in the development of internal sizing tools.
  • Implementation of E&M specifications, particularly within the framework of EPC contracts
  • Review of technical offers from contractors.
  • Review and validation of technical studies from suppliers.
  • Supervision of the installation and commissioning of equipment.
  • Monitoring of defects and resolution of technical problems.
  • Asset Management of commissioned power plants: In addition to his role as Technical Expert, the Project Manager will be designated as the Asset Manager of the hydroelectric power plants commissioned.

Your ideal background:

  • Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in the management of electro-mechanical projects, preferably in the hydropower sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment used in hydroelectric power plants.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate activities with different stakeholders.

A permanent contract with a salary paid in EUROs + performance bonus. Negotiable depending on experience. You can work from home with trips to Paris and Africa.
