You will be the Managing Director of a project company, set up for a hydropower rehabilitation project in Africa. You will be employed by the project owner and responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual commitments, applying the strategic orientations of the company, guaranteeing operational excellence, mastering the execution of renovation for construction to operation, to guarantee the expected financial profitability.
You will be based in a thriving African city and report directly to the company's Board of Directors. You must have proven experience as a Managing Director or in a management role within the hydropower industry.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the hydropower sector, with a strong track record as a leader, who is passionate about sustainable development.
You will be required to:
- Manage the business and relevant departments
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government institutions involved in the project, sector associations and partners.
- Manage and guarantee the application of the clauses of the contracts signed by the company with the Ministry of Energy and the sector regulatory office.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Business Management
- Experience in Hydropower development projects including rehabilitation
- Experience working in Africa
- Fluency in both French & English
