Join an international junior hydropower developer to build a small hydro project in Africa. This is <10MW project which will include the design, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of hydropower generating facilities complete with power evacuation line to the grid.
Your role as Project Site Manager will include planning / monitoring the schedule of implementation, directing, coordinating, budgeting for project activities, and ensuring that the project is constructed within the budget.
The necessary qualification include:
- Degree in QS, Project Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering can be considered
- At least 10 years’ experience in managing construction of small scale hydro power projects.
- Ideally experience of working in Africa for the owner, investor or developer.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- Experienced with IFC performance standards
- You will ideally be able to communicate in French and English
What they will offer you:
The salary is TBD but will likely fall under $100,000 USD gross per annum. They are looking for a person to join the company for this project for 30 months with the implication that this will be a long term hire to support their other projects.
