Plan Recruit Limited (Plan) Registered in England: No 8390320 is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, candidates and users of our website. We will ensure that the information we store is only used for “specified, explicit and legitimate purposes” set out in this policy.
The policy describes how we protect your rights through the methods of storing and using your personal data, it also describes the rights you hold to the data that has been introduced to Plan Recruit Ltd.
Privacy and Confidentiality is integral when establishing a successful recruitment company, this ethos is instilled in every process and procedure we take to establish a secure and safe service for both our candidates and clients.
As an operational recruitment business, our primary objective is to introduce personal information with consent to our business clients in the form of CV’s and profiles for permanent employment and contract placements. It is essential that we keep hold of historical and current information in order to best support the requirements of our candidates and clients to assist them find the right opportunity based around their current and future needs.
When applying through our website or by contacting Plan Recruit Ltd directly or indirectly via e-mail, telephone or social media then you are agreeing to the use of your personal data unless stated otherwise, we will upload your information to our database and will continue to remain in contact with either opportunities and/or candidates that match your criteria.
Through this Privacy Policy we aim to inform you about the types of personal data we collect and for the purposes of which we use the data and the ways in which it is handled. We also aim to satisfy the obligation of transparency under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 ("GDPR") and national laws implementing GDPR.
For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR their data controller of personal information is Plan Recruit Ltd, officially registered at 308 London Road, Hazel Grove Stockport, SK7 4RF.
Plan Recruit collects the following owner’s personal data:
- Prospective and active candidates and registered website users
- Prospective and current clients
- Supplier contacts
Candidates Data
We will collect your personal details, including your name and contact information, which may or may not include, contact telephone number(s), e-mail address(s), Skype ID(s), address(s) and other relevant information from, and including your Curriculum Vitae ("CV"), travel documents, qualifications and certificates.
The source of contact information may come from you directly, a directory, a third party job board or social media platform, please note that other platforms where we gather your information will have their own privacy policy that should also be read and agreed by the individual.
We will likely obtain further personal information about you during the course of our relationship. This information may be obtained from you directly or from third parties, such as references, organisations to whom we have provided your CV and who have engaged with you as part of a job application.
Client Data
Plan Recruit aims to support our customers by providing an agreed service outlined in signed Terms of Business. We will store contact details or the details of individual contacts (such as their names, telephone numbers and email addresses) at organisations we trade with and in addition for business development purposes and prospective clients. We may also hold extra information that someone in your organisation has chosen to tell us. There are two main ways in which we collect your personal data: directly from you; from third parties (e.g. our Candidates) and other limited sources (e.g. online and offline media).
Supplier Contacts
Plan will retain the contact details of service providers and prospective service providers which we wish to engage with.
How we use your Personal Information
We will hold, use and disclose your personal information, for our legitimate business purposes only including: to provide our services to you; to maintain our business relationship, where you are a user of our website, a client or candidate; to enable you to submit your CV for general applications, to apply for specific jobs; to match your details with job vacancies, to assist us in finding a position that is most suitable for you and to send your personal information (including sensitive personal information) to clients in order to apply for jobs; to retain your details and notify you about future job opportunities other than the specific role for which you have contacted us for or for which we have contacted you; to answer your enquiries.
We may process, in accordance with local regulations, certain sensitive personal data (known as special category data in GDPR) where you include it in information you send to us e.g. if you include information about your health, religion or ethnic origin in the CV you send to us. We may also be required to conduct a criminal record check against your details.

(a) Necessary for entering into, or performing, a contract – in order to perform obligations that we undertake in providing a service to you, or in order to take steps at your request to enter into a contract with us, it will be necessary for us to process your personal data;
(b) Necessary for compliance with a legal obligation – we are subject to certain legal requirements which may require us to process your personal data. We may also be obliged by law to disclose your personal data to a regulatory body or law enforcement agency.
(c) Necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests - either we, or a third party, will need to process your personal data for the purposes of our (or a third party's) legitimate interests, provided we have established that those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms, including your right to have your personal data protected. Job Alerts
As a way of keeping our candidates up to date with the latest relevant job opportunities, we will contact specifically selected candidates from time to time via e-mail or telephone as considered for legitimate business purposes. This is for the objective of keeping you informed of the latest jobs in your nominated industry. You can opt out at any time by contacting us using the details in the Contact section below or “Opt-Out”.
Opt-Out
If you no longer want to receive job alert updates then you are welcome to “Opt-out” of the service by responding to team@planrecruit.com confirming your intention to “Opt-out” in the subject line along with your name as a reference in order to locate your personal information.
Personal information will be held securely on our database system for as long as deemed necessary, we often support candidates with placements over many years and potentially throughout their careers, the reason for which we retain candidate data is often an ongoing purpose. Plan Recruit will regularly undertake data cleansing exercises to ensure your information is not held for longer than necessary.
Internet-based transfers
Given that the Internet is a global environment, using the Internet to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not always completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site via third party networks; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
