A large international hydropower company is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to start as soon as possible. You must be a Civil Engineer with expertise in hydro as Site Manager working for the OEM / supplier.
You will initially support in the design phase, RFQ for civil as well as in the assessment and negotiation of civil scope. You will then oversee and manage onsite activities for the hydropower plant expansion project.
What you will be expected to do:
- Preparation of civil tender documents in collaboration with the project team.
- Support the negotiation of the tender, including the selection of a local civil company.
- Oversee all aspects of civil site organisation, planning and administration
- Ensure project schedules are adhered to
- Manage claims and mitigate potential disputes
- Oversee a project civil contract volume of €15-20M
- Responsible for the start of site activities including their execution
- Mange and coordinate all interfaces with suppliers of electromechanical equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years relating experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
- Extensive experience in hydropower plant construction projects
- International experience on a hydro construction site
- Experience in claims management
- HSE knowledge of correct procedure and practices
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Existing right to work in Europe
What they will offer you:
Negotiable salary and package around 15,000 EUR / month, highly based on experience. Return trips per annum, 2.5 year contract. You will live in a small city and travel to site so you can stay on married status.
