A leading Engineering and Design company is currently looking for a Chief Resident Engineer for a Hydropower project currently under construction in Laos. You will be responsible for leading the resident engineer and supervision teams performing the role of Owners’ engineer on the project as well as providing the highest standards of quality, safety and ethical.

Qualifications Required –

• A Degree in Civil Engineering or similar related technical degree
• Over 20 years experience as a Project Manager, Chief Resident Engineer, or Team Leader is a must.
• Experience of working on a major hydropower construction Contract in a similar capacity (Approximately +400MW).
• Knowledge of application and management of FIDIC Contracts.
• Problem solving and decision-making skills. 
• Excellent English both written and communication skills; also including Contractual Correspondence.
• Team player, results-focused, determined, and responsible. 
• Dynamic, proactive, and autonomous, manage to create quickly good relationships in a new environment and recognized and a good communicator.
• Proven experience in building and developing Client Relationships

Relevant Experience for Assignment –

• Management and supervision of contractor’s activities on complex civil, mechanical & electrical process plants construction, including construction contract managements according to FIDIC conditions of contract (Red & Yellow Book).
• Provide oversight of the construction supervision of projects to ensure the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on-site and the requirements of the construction contract are followed.
• Manage multi-contracts to ensure project implementation conferring to project schedule. The Successful, liaison and coordination of stakeholders, design review team and contractors in order to contribute to the success and delivery of the project vision.
• You will lead a multi-national supervision team tasked with monitoring and supervising the contractors’ daily activities, monitoring and reporting on progress, quality, H&S and environmental aspect of the contract
• You will be representing the interest of the client and undertake the duties and obligations defined in the contract.

Salary & Package -

They are offering an Annual Basic Salary of 14,000 Euro's NET per month (Based on experience & qualifications) and a package that includes: Marital Status + Accommodation + 3 x Return Air Ticket Per Annum + Insurance.
