You will be site based on a large Dam & Water distribution project in Southern Africa working for an international engineering consultancy. This project is highly important for the residents to receive water in dryer areas of the country and involves a large CFRD and large tunnels.
As the Contracts Manager for the water tunnel project, you will Provide senior-level assistance to the PM in respect of his responsibilities and duties, primarily in respect of coordination and management of all contract administration activities
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Must be a Professional Engineer.
- A minimum of 25 years of total experience.
- At least 15 years of experience in the preparation of contract documents (FIDIC, GCC and ICE forms of contract) for large water infrastructure or hydropower projects.
- Experience working on projects on site as an expat, ideally in Africa.
- Fluent in English.
Some of your duties will include:
Determination of major contractors' claims
- Contract document preparation and interpretation of contracts
- The resolution of disputes between the Client and the Contractor.
Salary & Package:
An initial 24 or 36-month contract with a gross salary (negotiable) paid in USD. This is a site-based position with annual home trips (1-2) with site allowance + accident insurance. It is possible to be on an employee contract or consulting contact.
