A successful Mining contractor with several operations is seeking a leader to appoint as a Maintenance Manager responsible for more than one operation.

This is a residential position in an English speaking country, considered one of the safest countries in Africa. The position involves a lot of travel to ensure each of the contractors sites are performing as expected, with the ambition to exceed target which will result in a handsome bonus.

What you will be required to do:

You will have overall accountability for teams, a large group of diverse employees whilst also responsible for budget, resource management and ensure the availability of a large fleet of complex equipment, including heavy duty, light vehicle and ancillary equipment in order to achieve maximum production in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsibility also covers the financial management of the maintenance section, maintenance schedules and health & safety.

What you will bring:

• Around 15 year’s experience in the mining sector with heavy mobile equipment maintenance, 8 of which should be at management level and strong knowledge of Komatsu.
• Significant experience working for a mining contractor with a non-essential preference to have managed more than one site.
• Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical will be considered: at Degree level (BSc / BEng etc)
• Experience working with an ERP, ideally Pronto.

$15,000 USD Gross / month + in country pension options + in country medical package including dependents + 13th Cheque + annual bonus potential of up to 50% of annual salary! A 2 year rolling contract.
